**WEAR YOUR POPPY WITH PRIDE**

A simple red poppy carries a profound message.

It represents remembrance for those who made the ultimate sacrifice and gratitude for the Canadians who served to defend our country and its freedoms.

As Remembrance Day approaches, we encourage our community to wear a poppy and take a moment to reflect on what it represents.

Let us keep their memory alive for future generations.

**They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.**

Lest We Forget.

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

We remember the brave Canadians who served in times of war and conflict.

We remember those who never returned home, those who were wounded in body and spirit, and those who continue to carry the memories of their service.

Their courage, sacrifice and dedication must never be forgotten.

Remembrance is not confined to one day. It is a responsibility we carry throughout the year.

We owe it to those who served to remember.

Lest We Forget.

WHY WE WEAR THE POPPY

The poppy is more than a flower. It is a symbol of remembrance, honour and gratitude.

Each November, Canadians wear the red poppy to remember those who gave their lives in military service and to honour the men and women who have served our country.

As we wear our poppies, may we never lose sight of the freedoms we enjoy and the sacrifices made to protect them.

We remember them today, tomorrow and always.

Lest We Forget.

THE POPPY CAMPAIGN BEGINS TODAY

Today, we begin our Poppy Campaign as we prepare to honour the men and women who served, sacrificed and gave their lives for our freedom.

The red poppy is a lasting symbol of remembrance. When we wear one, we honour the fallen, remember our veterans and recognize the sacrifices made for generations to come.

We invite our Durham community to wear a poppy with pride and take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Remembrance.

We remember. We honour. We will never forget.

Lest We Forget.
