Durham Silver Threads Seniors' Group The Durham Silver Threads Seniors Group meets the 3rd.Tuesday of each month September to June.

Our May meeting is on Tuesday May 19, at Knox United Church in Durham. Our speaker will be from the Grey Bruce Home and Support Services Owen Sound. He will tell us about all the services available to seniors in our area. If you are new and would like to attend please call Carol Freeman 519 369 6266. It is a catered meal at the cost of $20.00. Time 12 noon to 3pm. We are a fun and welcoming group.

Our seniors lunch for tomorrow Jan. 20 is cancelled. We will see everyone on Feb. 17.

Our special speaker for the Jan 20 meeting will be Cody Hay from Home and Community Support Services Grey Bruce. She will tell us all about the programs available to seniors in our area.

Our first meeting of 2026 will be held on January 20, at Knox United Church in Durham. Lunch is served at 12 followed by entertainment.
Everyone is welcome. Cost is $20.00 for a delicious catered meal. Membership is $15.00 for the year. For more information please call Carol Freeman 519 369 6266.

We’re looking for some people to join our board for the 2026 season! If you’re into gardening, plants and community involvement, come and join us!

Our board meetings are once a month for an hour or so (via Zoom), we host monthly meetings for members during the growing season, plus events like the plant sale and volunteer gardening.

Unable to join the board but can lend a hand in smaller ways? We’d also love help for single tasks from our membership: you could volunteer for things like helping with our social media presence, helping to organize single events like our plant sale… we’re flexible!
