Harm reduction is an important health care approach that is often misunderstood.

Today, May 7, 2026, on International Harm Reduction Day, we raise our hands to the Ts'ets'uwut Tth'ele' Mustimuhw - Helping Hearts Outreach Team for the compassionate, non-judgmental support they provide our community.

Harm reduction services are available to all community members. These services help to reduce the negative health, social, and legal impacts of substance use without requiring abstinence.

The nursing team will help you complete a consent form and guide you through next steps, including booking an appointment with a clinician or connecting you with internal services such as treatment coordinator support, or external services such as youth outreach teams or community health services.

To get started, please call or text the the team at (250) 732-4326, or visit Slhexun Sun'ts'a' Clinic at 121 Ingram St. Monday to Friday from 8:30am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-4:30pm.
