May 5th is Red Dress Day, a day to bring awareness about the ongoing MMIWG Crisis happening in our country.
Indigenous women and girls are 5 times more likely to experience violence than any other population in Canada; this violence often results in more serious harm.
Today, we honour and remember the countless Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQI+ individuals who have gone missing or been victims of gender-based violence.
No More Stolen Sisters.

Across Canada, May is recognized as Sexual Violence Prevention Month.
Sexual violence disproportionately affects vulnerable populations, including Indigenous women and girls; people with disabilities; black women; and 2SLGBTQI+ individuals.
We hope you take the time this month to learn about the impacts of sexual violence, ways to be an active bystander and how to support survivors.
If you have been impacted by sexual violence in your lifetime, you are not alone, and it is not your fault. There are resources in place that can offer support, information, and safety planning.
