Our local McDonald’s Restaurants in both Dauphin & Swan River are hosting Halloween events for families this Tuesday October 27th with the Pumpkin Giveaway from 1 to 4pm, and also this Friday October 30th from 4 to 7pm with games for kids, and face painting.

It’s always a pleasure to connect with our MLA, Ron Kostyshyn, and share updates on the important work happening at Dauphin Neighbourhood Renewal Corp. (DNRC).

As Executive Director, my role is to help ensure our programs and services operate effectively, respond to community needs, and remain accessible to the people who rely on them. From housing and homelessness to youth and families, economic development, community connection, and recreation, this work depends on strong partnerships and sustainable resources.

Provincial funding and support play an important role in helping community organizations deliver meaningful programs and services. While we work hard to make the most of every resource available, continued investment is essential to meeting local needs and creating opportunities for individuals and families.

Thank you to Ron for taking the time to learn more about DNRC’s work and the initiatives underway in our community. Open communication and collaboration between community organizations and all levels of government help us work toward a stronger, healthier Dauphin.

Tomorrow, Thursday, October 22, is DNRC’s 1st Annual Trunk or Treat!

There’s still time to get involved. If you would like to participate by decorating a vehicle trunk and handing out treats to local children, we would love to have you join us.

📍 Location: DNRC Community Centre, 37 3rd Avenue NW
⏰ Date: Thursday, October 22

The street will be closed to accommodate trunks and tents, and our green space will feature a variety of free family activities. Guests can also enjoy:

The City of Dauphin is exploring opportunities to enhance the triangular piece of City-owned property at the corner of Main Street South, Whitmore Avenue West, and Jackson Street, home to Amisk the Beaver and the City’s welcome sign.

The goal is to create a welcoming destination for residents and visitors, and we want your input!

Share your thoughts on the existing space, potential improvements, and what you’d like to see there in the future. Your feedback will help inform the concept design for the site.
