Food for Thought: Every Child Deserves to Eat

No child should have to sit in a classroom wondering when they’ll get their next meal.

That’s why Food for Thought, a DFC program running from November through March, is so important.

During the colder months, Food for Thought helps make sure children have access to nutritious food twice a week, while they’re at school — because when kids are hungry, it’s harder to learn, focus, participate, and simply feel okay.

Every child is required to be in school.
So let’s make sure every child is fed while they’re there.

Thank you to everyone who supports DFC and helps make programs like Food for Thought possible. Together, we can make a difference — one meal, one child, one school day at a time.

If you would like to get involved in Food for Thought through volunteering and/or helping with fundraisers please reach out to us here at the DFC.

We should feed every kid every day in school. They are required to be in school—feed them.
