This past weekend we had our Mentored Waterfowl Hunting Program!
The students had learned how to waterfowl hunt! The program started with a classroom session going over fi***rm safety presented by Parkland Fi***rm Safety , bird identification, calling, map orientation, shoot/don’t shoot scenarios, and looking over the hunters guide.
They then took their knowledge outside to practice shooting and go over blind set up. After all their learning, they had supper and then headed out to scout for the fields that they were going to hunt in the morning.
With this many students, they spilt into 2 groups to go onto different fields for a better chance of harvesting birds!
The Dauphin Fish and Wildlife Association would like to give a big thank you to the Mᴀɴɪᴛᴏʙᴀ Wɪʟᴅʟɪғᴇ Fᴇᴅᴇʀᴀᴛɪᴏɴ , the mentors, volunteers, supporters and even the students for making this program possible!!!
