💙🏡 Today is a big day for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cornwall & District.
Today, we close the door to our BBBS house for the last time and begin a new chapter at our new location.
It’s hard to put into words what this house has meant to our organization over the years. It was never just a building. It was a place where friendships began, where Bigs and Littles spent time together, where staff and volunteers worked behind the scenes, and where so many moments—big and small—became part of our story.
And then, of course, there is the mural. 💙
Painted with the help of our Bigs and Littles, it became so much more than artwork on a building. It represents the connections, creativity and memories made here over the years. We can’t take the mural with us, but everything it represents is coming with us.
Leaving a place with so much history is bittersweet. But while we may be leaving the house behind, we aren’t leaving the memories, the relationships, or the heart of BBBS behind. We’re taking all of that with us.
Our new location will look different, but our purpose remains the same. We will continue showing up for the children, youth and families in our community, providing the same programs, mentorship and support we always have—and creating a whole new collection of memories along the way.
We also want to give a heartfelt thank you to our realtor, Katie Bellsmith for helping us through this transition and making the process as smooth as possible. We truly appreciate your support, patience and guidance throughout this chapter.
📦 Our office is closed today, October 1, and tomorrow, October 2, while we make the move. We will reopen Monday, October 5 at our new home at 12C Montreal Road.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the story of our BBBS house.
The house may be part of our history, but the memories made there will always be part of our story. 💙
