Through our “Helping Hands Program”, we were contacted about a wonderful local child who urgently needed a specialized activity chair to stay safe during meals and daily activities.

Because he lives with Autism Spectrum Disorder, he is very active and does not always recognize safety risks. He had outgrown his regular high chair and was able to tip it over, creating a serious choking and injury risk.

We were honoured to help. We were able to help…because of the support WE receive from YOU, our followers and donors.

Recently, we purchased this much-needed activity chair, bringing both safety for him and peace of mind for his family.

The chair provides supportive seating with a secure harness, helping him remain safely seated and calm during snacks, meals, and activity time while reducing the risk of falls or choking.

On our final day in Sri Lanka, we had the privilege of visiting Mount Carmel Parish School just outside Colombo, where we delivered 160 school bags and 160 food bags to students and their families. 💙

The children welcomed us with handmade thank-you cards and beautiful bouquets, reminding us just how deeply this support matters. An incredible 157 of 160 students were present to receive their bags — a powerful reflection of their commitment to education.

Through Rachel’s Kids, these students also receive after-school tutoring, and a portion of their tuition is placed into a graduation savings fund. Today, 14 deserving graduates received their savings — money that helps bridge the gap to further studies or meaningful employment. This program not only supports students financially, but also encourages responsibility, commitment, and long-term goals.

As we return to Canada, our hearts are full. We leave Sri Lanka grateful for the relationships built, the lives touched, and the generosity of everyone who makes this work possible.

May 2026 bring peace, opportunity, and joy to every child and family we have had the honor to support. 🌍✨

💛 Food Distribution Success at Kahawatte Recreation Center 💛

Today’s food bag distribution at the Kathawatte Recreation Center went very smoothly.

We were able to serve 210 families in person, while an 40 additional families—who couldn’t travel due to distance or road damage, will have their food delivered to them.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone of our supporters at home who made this possible, and especially to our amazing local team who organized transport to ensure no family was left behind.

Together, we are making a real difference. 🙏
