We are incredibly excited to announce the Jubilate Choir!

The choir offers a rich blend of singing, fellowship, and free musical training. Rehearsals are lively and engaging, designed to help children grow in confidence as they learn to use their voices, read music, and sing as part of a team.

No previous musical training is required—just enthusiasm, commitment, and a willingness to learn. The Jubilate Choir provides a nurturing environment where children can develop important musical and professional skills while forming lasting friendships. Membership in the Anglican Church of Canada is not a requirement—all are welcome!

🎶☀️ SUMMER CHOIR CAMP at Trinity Anglican Church! ☀️🎶

Calling all kids ages 7–13! Join us August 25–28 from 9am to 3pm for an unforgettable week of music, fun and faith🎤⛪🎉

During this 4-day program, campers will learn music through a series of interactive and multi-disciplinary activities. Throughout the week, campers will explore music by actively participating in singing and rhythmic games centred around movement, building a musical foundation that will last a lifetime. Music-related arts & crafts will unleash your child’s creativity and give them a fun-filled association with music.

We encourage students in grades 9-12 to participate as mentors for the younger campers in fulfillment of their high school volunteer hours. Participation as a mentor would entail facilitating snacks, supervising younger campers, and acting as an extra pair of hands in setting up and taking down activities. Mentors can choose to take on more background roles depending on their comfort level. This camp is sure to be an excellent experience for kids who want to learn more about music while having fun and making new friends!

The week ends on a Thursday afternoon with a special performance for friends and family!

New Year, New Music Director! Today, Trinity Church welcomes our new Music Director, Owen Spicer! Owen is an organist and accompanist based in Montreal, Quebec. An Associate of the Royal Canadian College of Organists, Owen has won numerous awards and scholarships, including the Godfrey Hewitt Scholarship, the Paul Westermeyer Hymn Playing Award and The Donald and Helen Mackey Memorial Award. In 2024, Owen was awarded First Prize in the Osbourne Organ Competition run by the Summer Institute of Church Music.

Owen has held positions as Assistant Organist at Christ Church Cathedral Ottawa, Organist at Montreal West United Church and Organ Scholar at Christ Church Cathedral Montreal, First St. Andrew's United Church London (On), and St. Martin's in the Fields London (On).

As a recitalist, he has performed at many venues in Quebec and Ontario, including Redpath Hall Montreal, St. Andrew's Church Ottawa and St James Cathedral Toronto. Owen has appeared alongside numerous instrumental and choral ensembles around Canada, such as the Caelis Ensemble in Ottawa and the Stratford Symphony Orchestra.

Owen is a graduate of McGill University with a bachelor's in organ performance, where he studied Organ Hans-Ola Ericsson and Jonathan Oldengarm and Choral Conducting with Jean Sébastian Vallée. He is pursuing a Master's degree at McGill University in the studio of Isabelle Demers. Owen is excited to join the Trinity Anglican Ministry team as Director of Music!

We look forward to his first official Sunday with us, Sunday, January 5th!
