Come taste Chef Svitlana’s made from scratch traditional Ukrainian food! And enjoy a meaningful and fun multicultural gathering to support Open Door.

I’m delighted to share that I will be participating as a chef at the upcoming Open Door Language and Culture Society annual fundraiser!

I’m proud to bring the warmth, flavours, and traditions of Ukrainian cuisine to this special multicultural event 🫶🏻

My Ukrainian selection will include:

• Ukrainian Cheese & Egg Canapés
A traditional homemade combination of creamy cheese, hard boiled eggs, garlic, and mayonnaise, served on crisp crackers. A familiar favourite from Ukrainian family gatherings and festive tables.

• Roasted Beetroot Salad with Walnuts, Dried Prunes & Sour Cream
A colourful salad combining roasted beetroot, crunchy walnuts, sweet prunes, and creamy sour cream. A delicious combination of flavours inspired by Ukrainian home cooking.

• Ukrainian Garlic Pampushky
Soft, fluffy Ukrainian garlic rolls served with butter infused with garlic and fresh Ukrainian herbs, including dill and parsley. A fragrant and flavourful accompaniment inspired by modern Ukrainian cuisine.

• Traditional Ukrainian Honey Cake
Delicate layers of honey cake with a smooth cream filling. This much loved dessert is a favourite at Ukrainian family celebrations and festive gatherings.

For me, cooking is more than preparing food. It is a way to share my culture, preserve traditions, and bring people together around the table.

I look forward to introducing guests to a little taste of Ukraine through my cooking and sharing the culinary traditions of my homeland with our local community.
