You can’t build better systems without building the people expected to operate them.

We are asking people to navigate more change, more complexity, more uncertainty and more pressure than ever.

Technology, workplaces, governments and economies are changing. Expectations of leadership are changing.

But we still spend most of our time redesigning structures, policies and processes, then handing them back to the same overwhelmed people and expecting a different result. I’m interested in the human capacity side of change.

How do we stay open when something challenges what we thought we knew?
How do we make difficult decisions without losing people along the way?
How do we stay regulated under pressure?
How do we adapt without abandoning ourselves or one another?

On Thursday, September 3 from 9:00–10:00 a.m. PT, I’ll be hosting a free 60-minute virtual session on Human Capacity in Times of Change and introducing some of the thinking behind Cultivating Safe Spaces.
If you’ve been wondering what CSS is actually about, or you’re thinking about how people navigate change inside your organization or community, this is a good place to start.
