🦫 Because they are so awesome, here are some photos of our Beavers in action from the last meeting! 🦫

While out on their adventure, the Beavers took time to give back to the community by helping clean up garbage along their route. It may seem like a small act, but these good turns make a big difference and help keep our community beautiful.

We're incredibly proud of these youth for showing what Scouting is all about: helping others, caring for the environment, and making the world a little better than they found it. πŸŒŽπŸ’™

Great work, Beavers! Your kindness, teamwork, and community spirit are shining examples for us all.

Check out these photos of our amazing volunteers in action! πŸ“Έ

πŸŽ‰ What a wild night last night! πŸŽ‰

To start things off, it was Scouter Zerena's birthday (and our amazing Group Commissioner's too)! πŸŽ‚πŸ₯³ Zerena is truly the glue that keeps our group together. From planning adventures to keeping us organized and encouraging our youth to reach their potential, she does so much behind the scenes. We all sang Happy Birthday and shared cake and ice cream to celebrate her special day.

And that was only the start of the meeting!

The Beavers and Cubs headed out on an adventure to work on Scout skills and badge requirements. Along the way, our Beavers also did a good turn by helping clean up garbage they found during their walk. Great job giving back to the community! 🌎🦫

Meanwhile, the Scouts stayed behind to work on a very cool STEM project. Their challenge? Build a running car using cardboard, sticks, pop bottles, glue, and a small motor. πŸš—βš™οΈ The Scouts showed great creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork, and learned a lot in the process. We can't wait to see how these projects continue to develop!

πŸ“… Don't forget! Our final meeting of the season will be held at Fuller Lake on June 22nd. Families are welcome to join us as we celebrate the year, award badges, and hold our moving-up ceremonies. More information will be coming soon.

Have a great rest of your week, and we'll see you at the next adventure! ⚜️

What a great weekend at Skeeter!

We brought two of our 4th-year Scouts along to give them a firsthand look at what Venturers is all about. And it was an incredible experience. Skeeter is one of many social camps planned and organized by Venturers and Rovers, bringing together around 500 participants.

We had people from all over the Island, Vancouver, and even as far as Kelowna and Kamloops. Moving from Scouts to Venturers really highlights the shift from challenge-based camps to a more social camping experience while still keeping the adventure alive.

We packed in so much over the weekend: a hike to a beautiful local waterfall, volleyball, an eating contest, talent show, dance, Jello wrestling, trivia, casino night, auction, and so much more.

A big thank you to all the staff at Camp Skeeter for organizing and running such a smooth and fun weekend! Our Scoutsβ€”soon to be Venturersβ€”are already counting down the days until the next camp!

A quieter meeting this week, and so much fun! 😊

Scouts teamed up with the Cubs and spent the evening enjoying the outdoors at Kin Park. After lots of games and laughs, we took a walk over to Waterwheel Park to wrap things up with a well-earned treat… slurpees all around! πŸ₯€

Just a reminder that next Monday is a holiday, so there will be no Scouts meeting. We’ll see everyone back on May 25th!

Have a great long weekend! 🌞

What a fun night for the Troop!

Our Beavers headed out for a walk to the beach and had a great time playing in the sand πŸŒŠπŸ–οΈ

The Cubs worked hard on their Cub Cars, a lot of focus and creativity happening there! πŸ› οΈ

Meanwhile, the Scouts put the final touches on their Scout Trucks and then headed to the park to practice their fire-starting skills πŸ”₯

So many great activities and smiles all around, love seeing everyone in action!

Reminder: There is **no Scouts next Monday (April 6th)**.
We’ll see you all back on **Monday, April 13th!** πŸ™‚

🚍🌎 What a time at Science World this weekend! 🌎🚍

What a weekend! We caught the afternoon ferry, then hopped on a bus and SkyTrain, arriving at Science World just as it was closing to the public, but our adventure was just beginning.

After dinner onsite, the Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts launched into a full evening of exploration until 11:00 PM. From hands-on exhibits to interactive displays, the youth explored every corner of Science World β€” learning new things, challenging themselves, and making lasting memories.

As Scouters, it was such a great evening watching the troupe explore, experiment, and just have fun together.

We wrapped up the night with a walk outside to the Green Room area to take in the amazing nighttime view before settling in. Once everyone found a cozy spot near their favourite exhibit, our group joined 160+ Scouts and 40+ adults camping the night inside the exhibits!

At 5:00 AM, a few brave early risers woke up to catch the Olympic hockey game before the official wake-up at 6:30 AM. After breakfast and packing up, we finished our adventure with an incredible live science show hosted by the amazing Science World team. Some of our lucky Scouts and Cubs even got to participate on stage!

What an experience. Travel, teamwork, science, and plenty of laughs along the way.

πŸ“Έ Enjoy the photos! Science World

Thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend such a success.

🌲 **Great Family Day Hike!** 🌲

What an amazing Family Day out at **Stoney Hill** with our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts β€” and families!

The weather cooperated, the trails were beautiful, and it was so great to see everyone out enjoying the fresh air together. From little legs to long strides, everyone took on the hike with smiles and great energy.

Thank you to all the families who came out and made it such a fun and memorable day. This is what Scouting is all about β€” adventure, community, and time outdoors together.

Well done, Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts! πŸ‘
