Now Hiring: Program Supervisor!
The Rayside Balfour Youth Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Program Supervisor to join our team!
Location: 214 Cote Ave., Chelmsford, ON
Dates: May 18, 2026 – July 3, 2026
Pay: $17.60/hour
Are you a post-secondary student who enjoys working with youth and being part of a positive community environment? This could be the perfect opportunity for you!
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and lead fun, engaging activities for youth (ages 10–17)
- Help supervise and maintain a safe, welcoming environment
- Assist with community events, excursions, and occasional fundraisers
- Manage canteen sales and basic record-keeping
- Support daily operations, including cleanliness and organization of the Centre
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Demonstrates strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Is reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Can take direction and work collaboratively
- Acts as a positive role model for youth
- Communicates professionally with staff, youth, and community members
- Is comfortable working in an after-school setting (with occasional evenings/weekends)
Bonus assets: Computer skills and ability to speak French. A vulnerable sector check is required.

Now Hiring: Special Events Coordinator
The Rayside Balfour Youth Centre is excited to welcome a Special Events Coordinator to our team for the summer!
Location: 214 Cote Ave., Chelmsford, ON
Work Term: June 22, 2026 – August 28, 2026
Hours: 35 hours/week
Wage: $17.60/hour
Are you organized, creative, and passionate about working with youth and the community? This role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning and leadership!
What You’ll Do:
- Plan, organize, and budget summer youth programs and special events
- Assist with fundraising initiatives and community events (on and off-site)
- Supervise youth during activities, events, and excursions
- Collaborate with staff and participate in training and team meetings
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at the Centre
- Build relationships with community partners and local businesses
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Is a strong communicator with leadership potential
- Works well in a team and maintains a positive, professional attitude
- Is creative, organized, and comfortable planning events
- Can set appropriate boundaries while being a positive role model
- Is flexible with scheduling (including occasional evenings/weekends)
- Is comfortable supervising youth and ensuring their safety
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (gas allowance provided)
- Vulnerable sector police check (cost reimbursed)
- Computer skills required
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
This role offers valuable experience in leadership, event planning, budgeting, and community engagement.
