We want to take this opportunity to share with our members that some of our dedicated volunteers spend many hours today clearing the parking lot and they managed to install the small floating dock. Due to the water still being high the big launch is not opened yet. So for the long weekend the members will have to use the small boat launch. Please use caution!!

Have a great long weekend.

Rain couldn’t dampen the spirit at this year’s Junction Creek Festival & Trout Release!

More than 450 people came out to Twin Forks Playground in Sudbury to celebrate the power of community and environmental stewardship, from releasing brook trout into the creek to unveiling a beautiful new sculpture honouring Dr. Jane Goodall and inspiring future generations.

We’re proud that Côté Gold is a sponsor of this incredible event, supporting initiatives that bring people together and help protect and restore the natural spaces we all share.

A big thank you to the Junction Creek Stewardship Committee, volunteers, and everyone who showed up (rain and all!) to make a difference. Every little action helps keep the momentum going.

Our 2026 collection went so smooth, we blinked and it was done! A great big thanks to all our volunteers who helped with egg collection, this year went extremely well and we managed to fill our jars with lots of healthy eggs! Each year we aim to collect a little over a million eggs to support the 11 lakes we help stock in our area, and we certainly attained our goal once again! A great big thanks to Azilda Community Pickerel Hatchery and it really is an amazing thing for 3 clubs to come together and work together towards an amazing fishery right here in our backyard! Also we would like to extend a huge thank you to Emco Sudbury for their generous donation towards our new closed loop jar system, this new system is a great upgrade from our old system as it helps us maintain more control over the environment for our eggs and is much cleaner and more efficient! Come check out our new system and walleye eggs at our open house this saturday may 9th from 12-4!

Thanks to all our community supporters from buying memberships, volunteering, helping with donations, to showing up for our events. We truely appreciate all of your support and we couldnt do it without all of you!
