🎃🐮 A Halloween Treat at Hooves & Hearts! 🐮🎃

Our animals at Hooves & Hearts got quite the “treat” this Halloween!! 🧡🍬

We are so excited to welcome our SECOND baby calf, PUMPKIN! 🎃🐄

Some of our students may remember us talking about Oreo and Smoosh-Mellow both expecting babies. Well, the wait is officially over!

Just 11 days after Smoosh-Mellow welcomed her sweet baby S’more, Oreo decided it was her turn and gave us the sweetest little Halloween surprise — a beautiful baby named Pumpkin! 🧡

From S’more to Pumpkin, our little farm family is growing, and we couldn’t be more excited to share these special moments with our students and families! 🥰

We can’t wait for everyone to meet our newest additions and watch them grow alongside our program. 🐴🐮💕

🎃 Happy Halloween from all of us at Hooves & Hearts! We hope everyone had a safe, fun, and treat-filled Halloween!

🐴📚 SOMETHING MAGICAL IS COMING TO HOOVES & HEARTS! 🍂❤️

🔨 Pardon our dust… we’re building something special!

If you’ve been wondering what we’ve been working on behind the scenes, here’s a little sneak peek! 👀

Our barn is getting a makeover, and these new stalls are just the beginning of something we’ve been dreaming up for our community!

✨ Imagine a cozy November evening…

🍂 The smell of fresh hay
🐴 The gentle sounds of horses munching nearby
📖 A good book and a little imagination
❤️ A warm, welcoming space where learning and animals come together

This November, Hooves & Hearts has a VERY special session planned inside our barn!

We’re combining two of our favourite things: the magic of horses and the joy of reading! 📚🐴

Whether you’re just beginning your reading journey or already love getting lost in a good story, we can’t wait to share what we’ve been creating!

We’re still busy building, hammering and getting everything ready for our special guests. 🔨

🤫 Can you guess what’s coming?

Stay tuned for our official announcement, dates and registration details!

💕 Trust us, this is one story you won’t want to miss!

🧡 Every Child Matters 🧡

Our student Moana wore her orange shirt to tonight’s Hooves & Hearts session, sharing an important message alongside one of our minis.

As we mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, we honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, the Survivors, and their families and communities.

At Hooves & Hearts, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued and supported. We commit to listening, learning and carrying that care into our everyday actions.

🧡 Every child matters. Every day.

We loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere at Equity Acres yesterday! What a perfect 1st show experience for Miss Frizzle and some of our Rookie Riders.

Thank you to your co host Kayla Frank as well for making yesterday possible and allowing us the opportunity to share such a special award.

🐴❤️ THE 2026 SPIRIT AWARD ❤️🐴

We are so proud to share that Remi received the Spirit Award after earning the highest overall points in yesterday’s Grasshopper classes! 🏆

Created in loving memory of our sweet miniature horse, Spirit, this award celebrates kindness, courage, patience and a gentle love for horses—all the qualities that embody the true spirit of Hooves & Hearts.

Congratulations, Remi! Your hard work, determination and love for horses made you a wonderful recipient of this very special award.

Small in size, but mighty in Spirit. ❤️🐴

A little look at learning on the farm at Hooves & Hearts! 🐴🐷❤️

Our sensory bins bring the animals into hands-on activities. Participants can explore different textures, play with farm figures, and learn about a horse’s life cycle—then look up and see the real animals right beside them.

We make room to explore, communicate, and connect at each person’s own pace. Sometimes the best part of a lesson is a curious mini horse coming over to see what’s in the bin! 💕
