It’s that time of year when all graduates are being honoured for their achievements throughout the school year. The Legion was proud to present at CVDCS the award to Noah Legault and presented by Lucie Kearney.
At E.S.C. Champlain the awards went to Samuel Chénier and Sophie Lefebvre, and was presented by Gerard Lapierre.
At Lively District Secondary School the awards went to Faith Landriault and Maya Robinson and presented by Sue Warden. We wish them all success in their future endeavours.

Last night, May 12, at Legion Branch 553 we had our honours and awards ceremony. We honoured the students from Walden Public school in Lively who came in first second and third in the public speaking contest, a special congratulations went to Airah Junkala  who is a grade 3 student who won first place at branch, zone, District and area and was a runner-up at the provincials. Also, awarded for the poster contest students from St James Catholic School,St. Charles, Pavillon de l’Avenir and Champlain high school who came in first second and third with a special congratulations to Alayna Luzon who came in first at branch zone District an area and also to Jayden Roy, who came in first at branch and second zone.
We also honoured many of our members for their volunteer work throughout the year, including two outstanding members who received lifetime memberships, Maggie Wells and Jules Defresne.
The award for legionnaire of the year went to Bobby Gaudette, and to top off the night the news executive was sworn in.
