DID YOU KNOW? The Salvation Army Chatham-Kent Ministries has four Community Services? We are in Chatham, Wallaceburg, Ridgetown, and Blenheim. For May 2026 our food banks served a total of 331 Households, this equaled to a total of 766 Individuals.

FYI, Individuals would be all people living in all households served. Example: one person came in to access the food bank but has three other people living with them, this would then be counted as one household but four individuals served.

Curious how many each location served? See numbers below:
Chatham: 154 households, 358 Individuals
Wallaceburg: 113 Households, 260 Individuals
Ridgetown: 27 Households, 73 Individuals
Blenheim: 37 Households, 75 Individuals

The cost of groceries has increased significantly therefore if you need assistance, reach out to the food bank closest to you!

June is National Indigenous History Month—a time to honour the history, heritage and strength of Indigenous peoples in Canada and acknowledge the contributions they have
made and continue to make in shaping our country.

Throughout the month and beyond, The Salvation Army in Canada continues its commitment to reconciliation by fostering understanding, building respectful relationships and learning from Indigenous voices.
