Just a friendly reminder, as most may already be well aware of, tomorrow is Halloween!
That means the streets will be filled with kids enjoying the evening dressed up, to their best imaginations, with their friends and families. 🎃

Please be kind, please be safe, and please be aware of your surroundings! it gets dark very early this time of year 🌖

Enjoy the night, enjoy the candies and chocolates, and most of all enjoy the moments 👻

With that being said, remember to stop by Station 18 fire hall! There will be, as usual, a group of wonderful guys and gals handing out goodie bags as well!!! We are STOCKED AND READY!!🍭 🍬🦇

Yesterday was a BEAUTIFUL day, to brush up on some Auto Extrication Training.
The station 18 firefighter’s spent the day, reviewing, practicing and going through revolutions on Stabilization and Extrication of motor vehicles.

An accident can occur at any time, and become any sort of situation. Knowing our surroundings, Keeping the understanding and the basics forefront and sharpening our tools continues to allow us to perform swiftly and safely.

A huge thank you to Sunny Acres Vehicle & Metal Recycling for the continued support and supplying us with a couple vehicles to perform our work on!

Having the support outlets we do, allows us to continue to improve, provide and maintain the best quality of work.

Spreading Smiles, Joy & Fire Safety Tips at McDonald’s! 🍔🖍️🚒✨
Every single Wednesday, the dining room at Blenheim McDonald’s is filled with extra warmth and excitement, all thanks to the wonderful Janice Thompson! Janice has a true gift for making every visitor feel right at home. Each week, she goes above and beyond to connect with local families, create a welcoming atmosphere, and lead fun, engaging activities for kids and parents alike.
Since October is Fire Prevention Month, Janice turned this week’s Wednesday gathering into an interactive learning adventure! She spent quality time with visiting families coloring special fire safety pages and sharing simple, practical tips about staying safe at home. It was a wonderful way to help our community’s youngest guests learn the importance of fire safety while enjoying a creative morning together. 🔥🏡
We are so grateful for Janice’s endless energy, her big heart, and her dedication to the Blenheim community. Thank you, Janice, for making every Wednesday so memorable! ❤️

As some of you may have already seen, this Saturday we are hosting our annual open house! 🏠
There will be lots to do for all ages, stop in, say hi, check out our tools and trucks and even get a hotdog and pop!!
We will also be for the first time, selling limited quantities & sizes of,
“Breast Cancer Awareness” Shirts!!!
You will find one of our firefighters hanging out selling them! 🎀
Keep in mind, the money raised from these shirt sales are going to be donated locally to a charity or organization in recognition to cancer! ♋️

$25.00/shirt, limited sizes, limited supply, first come first serve. Cash 💵 is the preferred method of payment (as we do not own any devices for selling digitally)!!

Yesterday was a beautiful day for training!
Our Station 18 firefighters got some hands on practical training on their NEW High Rise kit!!

With the Blenheim Community growing, and many apartments, commercial Buildings & so much more going up, it is a great opportunity to sharpen the tools and knowledge, and get better understandings of what we need and can expect in the case of an emergency.

Many more training nights heavily involving this kit will be coming along, but our first night was a very successful one🔥🏢🏣🚒

Just a friendly reminder that today is the Terry Fox run, so you may be seeing lots of pedestrians out and about around the town!
Run starts at 10am 🏃‍♂️
The following Crossings there will be emergency vehicles with a few wonderful firefighters staged to help assist with the ease of crossings!!
-Chatham & Marlborough
-Victoria & Talbot
-Anger and Chatham
-McGregor & Marlborough
-Little & Talbot

Please be courteous and respectful with the individuals out running, walking, biking, etc and drive safely!!

25 years ago, the unimaginable happened.

This morning and every morning, we remember those who selflessly worked and lost their lives, to help a country, to help individuals and to help a city in the deepest and darkest of times.

September 11th, 2001.

A day that will forever be engraved in the memories and hearts of the world.
We salute those who responded, those who survived and those who lost.
Humanity shined brightest following that horrendous morning. colour, gender, race, religion did not matter. nothing more than humans helping humans, that is what mattered most.

This morning, we take a moment to remember, to pray and to thank every innocent civilian, every paramedic, every firefighter, police officer, security and every other first responder that day for all of their efforts and sacrifices to restore faith in the world & in humanity.

May you all, rest in eternal peace.

Please always be aware of your surroundings while travelling. You may encounter a volunteer responding at any moment of the day or night.

Be safe, be courteous and if it is possible please allow them to pass. It could be someones worst day & every minute can become more & more crucial
