Great to see our Wood Duck Box Program already making an impact! 🦆

This spring, RBWA members and volunteers built nearly 40 wood duck boxes that were donated out to members and volunteers throughout the area. We’re happy to report that many of the boxes have already been installed — and even better, several are already being used by nesting wood ducks!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped build, distribute, and install these boxes. Projects like this help support local conservation efforts and provide valuable nesting habitat for one of our most beautiful waterfowl species.

It’s rewarding to see these boxes out in the marsh and woods doing exactly what they were intended to do — producing more wood ducks for future generations to enjoy.

🌿 The RBWA kayak launch is officially back in the water for the season! 🚣‍♂️☀️

You can find it on Rondeau Bay at the start of the Marsh Trail, right beside the RBWA Waterfowl Unit office. Whether you’re heading out for a peaceful paddle, birdwatching, fishing, or just enjoying the beauty of the bay, the launch is ready to use.

A big thank you to everyone who helps keep this area maintained and accessible for the community to enjoy. We’re lucky to have such a great spot right here in Rondeau! 🌊🦆

Due to inclement weather the Rondeau Bay cleanup is being put off until this coming week. If you are able to help please private message or contact an executive.

If you do decide to tackle some clean up on your own time please be careful and mind weather conditions.

A huge thank you to all of our dedicated RBWA volunteers and members who came out to help install the dock in Rondeau Provincial Park!

Located at the start of the Marsh Trail, just behind the RBWA Waterfowl Office, this dock is an important access point for our community and ongoing conservation efforts. Your hard work, time, and commitment do not go unnoticed — it’s because of people like you that we’re able to keep improving and maintaining this special area.

We truly appreciate everyone who lent a hand. Another great example of what can be accomplished when our group comes together! 👏

Exciting news:

The Rondeau Bay Waterfowlers Association is proud to share the completion of a project that has been long overdue — the cleaning and dredging of the Shrewsbury boat launch.

This important work will help improve access to the bay for hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts for years to come.

A huge thank you goes out to our dedicated volunteers and the contractors who helped make this project happen:
• Loumar Excavating & Trucking
• Curtis Scott and family

Funding for this project was made possible through B-Zone hunting permits along with several RBWA fundraising initiatives. Thanks to that support, the work was successfully completed last week.

Projects like this only happen because of the support of our members, volunteers, and local community. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and support to make it possible.
