Today, our hearts are with those attending the 35th Annual Women's Memorial March on Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, and at various gatherings and vigils around the province, as we remember and mourn all missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, two-spirit and gender diverse people.

BC Foster Parents Association hosts a set of regional and provincial discussion groups via Zoom at regular intervals throughout the year. The intention behind these calls is for caregivers to have opportunities to increase their network, ask questions, gain resources, discuss what’s happening in their region, and build a collaborative relationship with BCFPA as well as other caregivers. These calls are loosely structured open discussions where all attendees are welcome to speak and share freely.

Each call is attended by members of BCFPA’s board of directors and provincial office staff, including our Director of Advocacy/Provincial Community Strategist and head of the Provincial Strategy Initiative, Amanda Oliver.

We would love to hear from you!

In the short survey linked below, share your thoughts and opinions on how we can best support caregiver attendance in our regional and provincial calls. Our goal is to ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate in these rich community discussions.

πŸ””Update: Water repairs have been completed and service has been restored.

πŸ’§ A water service interruption is currently affecting properties on πŸ“ 10th Avenue between Cedar Street and Alder Street today, Wednesday, February 11, 2026, while City of Campbell River crews complete a water service repair. Water has been shut off in this area, and affected properties will be without service until repairs are finished.

πŸ”” Residents in the surrounding neighbourhood may experience temporary water discolouration. This is only an aesthetic issue. If you are not in the shutoff area and notice discoloured or cloudy water, please run your cold-water taps until the water clears.

✨ For updates, please visit the City’s website or social media channels. While we ask residents not to contact the Dogwood Operations Centre for updates, if you have water-related concerns, contact [email protected] or 250-286-4033.
