Campbell River Killer Whales

Campbell River Killer Whales CRKW is a swim team that offers Swim lesson program for kids aged 3-12, a Masters Program as well as in a competitive program for swimmers aged 6-18 years old.

Campbell River Killer Whales Swim Club is a competitive swim team based in Campbell River, British Columbia that offers swim lessons, and competitive program as well as a Masters Swim Program . We are a non profit club, run by its elected Board of Directors which meets each month. All members are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be involved in team activities and fundraisers. Our aim is not to produce champions, but to create an environment where champions are inevitable.

What an excellent performance! CRKW went into the fastest Mel Zajac I have ever seen. This meet had the USA Junior National Team, Illinois All Star Team, Canadian Junior National Team, along with many other clubs across the country. CRKW was very competitive at this high level with Sofia making the A final! Zac, Anisa, Haugen made the B final! Finally, we had Josh, Cassidy and Oliver in the C final. The relays also ranked in the top with the very few clubs ahead of us, mostly national or state all star teams ahead of us. There where 2 teams that cheered well at the meet, the best cheering team was of course our team! We had excellent cheering and team support through the wins and losses, Team USA also cheered very well, but ran out of steam by Sunday AM.

A congratulations is in order for Sofia in destroying her trials cut in a ripping 26.48 setting a new club record. As well Anisa executed an incredible 200 free to punch her ticket to Canadian Trials. Josh Krestinski broke his own club record in the 50 fly, and Haugen destroyed her club record in the 100 back as well.

Overall it was a very good dress rehearsal for Trials in a month from now. We belong at this elite level and prove time and time again we are a force on the Senior National scene!

The Vancouver Island Regionals was most of KWJ and KWD swimmers last meet of the 2025/26 season. All swimmers swam extremely well, and had tons of best times. This meet proved how hard these kid’s have worked throughout the season. Congratulations on an amazing year of swimming everyone!

Let’s cheer on all our CRKW swimmers for this exciting double swim meet weekend!

We have our many of our Academy/senior swimmers at the The Mel Zajac International Swim Meet at UBC. Our swimmers will be sharing the pool with Olympians and the fastest of the fast. The event provides the unique and enduring opportunity to honour Mel Zajac Jr.’s competitive spirit and love of swimming, reflected in his achievements as part of the Canadian National swim team.

We have 29 swimmers from our youngest Orca Sr all the way through to Academy hosted by the Nanaimo Riptides!
