Happy Spring!

A quick note to let all active community gardeners know that your membership renewals have been processed and you will receive your 2026 Community Association membership cards soon (if you haven't already). Please take advantage of the free events and business discounts and benefits that your membership provides.

I am in the process of completing memberships for new gardeners who will be joining us this year and I expect to have that wrapped up by early next week. I will then send out a season opener document package to all gardeners, which will include the bed assignments and all other pertinent information for the 2026 growing season. We have some very exciting projects and events planned for this year!

Keep an eye on your email inboxes - I will be in touch very soon! (Sheryl)

πŸ‘€πŸ‘‰TONIGHT! I've packed up a massive bag of seeds to give out!* If you have seeds to exchange, bring them with you and we'll do a one-for-one trade. I have some colouring sheets for the kids and I'm happy to answer your gardening questions. For best selection, visit me early - if I run out of seeds before 9, I will pack up. Pop in on your way home from work or after supper! I'm looking forward to seeing you! *(Limit 4 packages per person.) 🌷

A lovely treat in the mailbox! These heirloom vegetable and wildflower seeds were generously donated to the Somerset Bridlewood Community Garden by Canadian seed supplier Northern Wildflowers. We will be placing them in our Little Resource Library in the spring so that they may be shared with our communities. Huge thanks to Northern Wildflowers!

Community garden members: If you were storing gardening gloves in the shed, I have removed them for the winter and will store them securely until spring - out of the jaws of voles and mice intent on making nests. (Sheryl)
