E-bikes and electric scooters have been in the news a lot lately. The rules in Alberta aren't as straightforward as you might think:

✅ Helmet required for ALL riders, regardless of age
✅ 500W or less motor
✅ Maximum assisted speed of 32 km/h
✅ Must have fully operable pedals
✅ Riders must be 12+
✅ No driver's license, registration or insurance required for a compliant e-bike
✅ At night: white headlight, red taillight & rear reflector must be used

📍 Calgary specifically:
• Pathways have a 20 km/h speed limit
• Parks are off limits — fines up to $1500
• Pedal assist riding only on pathways — throttle-only riding is prohibited
• E-bikes cannot be ridden on sidewalks by riders aged 14+
• E-bikes are prohibited on major routes like Glenmore and Deerfoot Trail.

Before Lynnwood Ridge is looking for some information about the townhouses/apartments that used to be on the ridge:

I'm looking for some more information about the townhouses on Lynnview Terrace, and hoping some followers may know the answers.

Of these 7 buildings, how many were owned by the CHC, Calgary Housing Commission as subsidized housing? I see they owned 62 units.

The other townhouses were owned by Anderson Property, were they rentals?

It can be difficult to pinpoint these details historically, only with the help of the community.

A body was found at Ogden Road and 50 Ave in 2021. Police have determined the man’s identity and released that his death was not criminal:

Following a lengthy search, investigators have identified the human remains of a man that were located in August 2021. As the death is deemed non-criminal in nature, no further information will be released.

We extend our condolences to the man's family & friends & thank the public & media for assistance in this case.
