Our nation just took a major step toward trade diversification, national prosperity, and becoming the energy supplier the world needs.

Pacific Link has been listed as a project of national interest, with the potential to move an additional 1 million barrels per day to Asian markets, create 140,000 jobs, and generate more than $20 billion in GDP every year from the pipeline itself, plus an additional $10 billion from increased prices on oil shipped south of the border.

This is how Canada builds strength: by backing resource development, expanding exports beyond the U.S., and unlocking our full potential as a global energy superpower.

High oil prices are playing a big role in providing Canada's federal government with windfall revenues.

Ottawa is using these boosted revenues to give Canadian motorists a break at the gas pumps by pausing the fuel excise tax, an affordability measure which will continue into 2027.
