CCI South Alberta Chapter

The Canadian Condominium Institute is the Voice of Condominium in Canada. It is a national, independent, non-profit organization.

Formed in 1982, CCI remains the only national condominium focused association. We have four major objectives:

A. To Educate

- Through educational programs designed to inform its owners about condominium life
- To equip directors with the skills necessary to conduct the affairs of a corporation
- To qualify managers to better administer the operations of condominium

B. To Develop Standards

The Canadian Condominium Institute has developed standards in the areas of Law, Accounting, Property Management, Insurance and Real Estate. Through education and examination, the institute extends professional associate status upon those of its members who attain the required standards

C. To Offer Referral Resources

Referral resources are made available to Members seeking professional services and information

D. To Improve Legislation

The Canadian Condominium Institute represents condo owners/director issues at the government level when required

CCI operates primarily through Chapters across the country. The National membership meets once each fall for the Annual General Meeting, held in Toronto. Day to day business at the National level is conducted through the National Board, its Executive, and various standing and ad hoc committees. We are proud to be an independent, non-profit organization dealing exclusively with condominium issues.

CCI South Alberta is proud to be the Presenting Partner for Navigating Aging Residential Infrastructure at BUILDEX Alberta 2026.

Presented by Ryan Coles, Principal at RJC Engineers and Vice President of CCI South Alberta, the session will look at the pressure points facing aging residential buildings, including balconies, roofs, windows, cladding, elevators, boilers, piping systems and other major assets.

Attendees will also hear why replacement cycles are tightening, how reserve and capital planning is becoming more complex, and what boards, managers and owners should understand before deferred renewal becomes a larger issue.

Two days, countless conversations and one incredible condominium community. 👏

The 2026 Alberta Condo Conference brought board members, owners, property managers and industry professionals together in Calgary for two packed days of education, connection and conversation.

From expert-led sessions and thought-provoking discussions to the trade show floor and networking throughout the conference, attendees had plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas, ask questions and connect with others from across Alberta’s condominium industry.

September 30 is a day to listen, learn and reflect. 🧡

On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, CCI South Alberta honours the Survivors of residential schools, the children who never returned home, their families and Indigenous communities across Canada.

Today is an opportunity to reflect on the history and ongoing impacts of the residential school system, while continuing to learn from Indigenous voices, experiences and perspectives.

A first trade show is a big milestone, and Medicine Hat’s condominium community showed up for it. 👏

CCI South Alberta was glad to be part of the Medicine Hat Condo Association’s first-ever Trade Show, bringing together local condominium professionals, service providers and community members for a day of connection and industry conversation.

A special thank you to the Medicine Hat Condo Association for organizing the event, and to everyone who helped make its first trade show a success.
