This year, we are proud to partner with Alberta-based oil painter .gould.art🎨✨

Renee’s work is inspired by the rhythms of rural life, Western culture, and the communities that shape it. In collaboration with LaDue Ladies Luncheon, she has created a custom silk scarf, twilly, and an original painting that celebrates the legacy of Flores LaDue.

The original artwork will be featured and auctioned during our live auction on July 2nd, with all proceeds supporting our scholarship fund for the 2027 class of cowgirls. The silk scarves and twillys will also be available for purchase during the luncheon in support of the same cause.

Inspired by Flores LaDue—who challenged expectations and built a life on her own terms long before women were widely afforded such opportunities—Renee’s work reflects a shared belief that being a cowgirl is not defined by a job, place, or lifestyle, but by character, resilience, and the courage to forge your own path!

Each year, women from across our community come together to share stories, build friendships, and support a cause that invests in the next generation of women pursuing post-secondary education 🎓

We are honoured to be presenting our 2026 Miss Rodeo Canada, Abbey, with a scholarship in recognition of her academic achievements and dedication to serving others!

Abbey’s pursuit of two lifelong dreams — becoming Miss Rodeo Canada and one day working as a nurse — has guided her journey over the past several years. After completing her Health Care Aide certificate, she continued her education through the nursing program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, demonstrating the same determination and commitment that have made her an outstanding ambassador for the rodeo community.

Throughout her reign, Abbey has brought her passion for healthcare beyond the classroom and into communities across Canada. Whether visiting hospitals or spending time in long-term care homes, some of her favourite stops along the rodeo trail, she has shared kindness, compassion, and the spirit of rodeo with those who need it most.

At the LaDue Ladies Luncheon, we believe in supporting young women who use education, leadership, and service to make a difference in their communities!
