Simon Fraser University Rugby The Simon Fraser University Rugby Club, based out of the Burnaby Mountain campus. This 2024/25 season Men and Women’s are competing in 2nd Division.

The SFU Rugby Club has enjoyed many successful years, winning multiple Provincial titles, and touring to such places as California (’82, ’84), England and Wales (’85), England and Scotland (’87), and Spain ('02). Now with more than one hundred students, alumni and non-students, we make up the largest club at SFU. With its recent growth, the SFU Rugby Club continues to produce prominent individual

successes, currently boasting representative players from the sub-union to the national level.

A fantastic way to wrap up another Minis Rugby season! 🏉❤️

Thank you to all of our players, parents, coaches, and volunteers who made this year possible. Your support, dedication, and enthusiasm are what make this program so special.

We also loved welcoming so many new faces to our Family Day and Try Rugby event. Thanks to everyone who came out, gave rugby a try, and joined in the fun!

SFU Rugby went paddling beyond the pitch 🛶☀️

Big thanks to alumni for taking us out on the water and giving us the chance to try canoe racing together. Between some friendly competition, lots of laughs, and a few unexpected swims, it was a day we'll be talking about for a long time!

There’ll be a Try Rugby session, family fun games with prizes, a club-wide touch game, and a free BBQ to wrap up the day! ✨

➡️ WHO: All ages welcome! We’ll have a girls-only group, a youth and teens group, and adult groups so everyone can get involved

SFU Women left everything on the field this weekend. In tough heat, they delivered a strong performance but came up short, falling 28-7 after an incredible battle. The effort, resilience, and determination were clear from start to finish, and we couldn’t be prouder of the group.

🔵 Forward of the Match: Quinn Smith 🔵

was a constant source of strength all game. Even as the heat intensified, he kept her work rate high, supporting at nearly every ruck and making key tackles. Another standout performance earns him Player of the Match for the second week in a row.

🔴 Back of the Match: Zahara Adomi 🔴

had an outstanding game, scoring a try to bring things level at halftime. She worked tirelessly in the centres, making big tackles and creating strong breaks through the defence. A well-deserved recognition for an impressive performance.
