It takes a village to light up the waterfront. 🎄

The Burlington Festival of Lights is looking for volunteers, and there is a spot for everyone.

From setting up in Spencer Smith Park to opening night, to events and we need helping hands for all kinds of jobs: lighting, event volunteers, twinkle patrol, social media and more. Whether you are 16 or 86, have two hours or a whole evening, bring friends, family or your whole crew, we will find a role that suits you.

Every volunteer helps turn the park into something that brings our community together for 31 years and counting.

🎄 **LightsON — November 27 | Spencer Smith Park
Celebrate our official tree and park lighting with live music, interactive entertainment, Santa and a Snow Fall Dance Party! The Teen Tour Band kicks things off at 6:30 PM, followed by the official welcome at 7 PM and the tree illumination at 7:20 PM.

🕯️ Let it Glow — November 28 | 7 PM | St. Luke’s Church
Enjoy a holiday concert in the warm glow of candles, featuring a guest quartet from the Burlington Symphony Orchestra performing seasonal pop hits and traditional favourites.

🍸 Sip & Shop — December 3 | 6 PM or 7 PM
Begin at Burlington Lions Club Hall with mixology demonstration with our partner SOBR Market, then visit participating downtown shops—including Joelle’s by Ally, Woven, Roam and Simply Gifted—with sips and bites along the way!

New this year at the Burlington Festival of Lights: Sip & Shop, a night carved out just for you and your friends.

Ladies, this one's for you. Between the shopping lists, the schedules and everything else on your plate this season, we think you've earned an evening that's all yours. So gather your friends, your sisters, your neighbours and your favourite coworkers, and make a night of it on Thursday, December 3.

Choose your start time: 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. at the Burlington Lions Club Hall, where our friends at SOBR Market will lead a fun mixology class. Then grab your souvenir cocktail cup and head downtown to boutiques that are staying open late just for our guests, each with sips and nibbles waiting.

A huge thank you to our participating businesses for welcoming us in: Joelle's By Ally, Simply Gifted, Roam and Woven, with more being added daily. Treat yourself to something special while you're there. You deserve it.

The Burlington Festival of Lights returns to Spencer Smith Park from November 27, 2026 to January 8, 2027, with a brand new 25-foot centrepiece tree on the waterfront. It has been a Burlington tradition for over 30 years, and every dollar raised supports the lights and the Lions Club of Burlington's community programs.

Sponsorship starts at $5,000, with options to own the waterfront tree, name a lighting zone, or present an event or tour. You will get signage, promotion, and a presence across our festival channels all season long.
