♻️ Zero Waste Drop-Off is back—and it’s time to give your old electronics a better ending! 💚

Electronic waste contains valuable materials—but when it’s tossed in the trash, it can release harmful substances into the environment and waste resources that could be recovered and reused.

That’s why responsible recycling matters 🌍

From phones and cables to small electronics, your items can be safely recovered, repaired, or repurposed instead of ending up in landfill.

This Thanksgiving, we’re feeling grateful for everyone who takes action to care for Burlington’s environment — from planting trees and picking up litter to making thoughtful everyday choices for the planet.

Every action matters, and we’re thankful to be part of a community that cares. 🌿

Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend from the BurlingtonGreen team! 🍂

Think our Zero Waste Drop-Off is just for e-waste? Think again ♻️

Join us on October 17th from 10 AM – 4 PM at Burlington Centre and take advantage of our TerraCycle boxes for even more recycling options.

TerraCycle bins are available at Burlington Centre all year round—so come give them a try at our Zero Waste Drop-Off event or any time you’re at the mall. These bins are especially useful because they accept items that are typically too complex for curbside recycling, helping divert materials from landfill and ensuring they’re properly processed and repurposed.

Accepted items include:
• Coffee capsules
• Nitrile & latex gloves
• Disposable masks
• Small-size filters (e.g., Brita & air purifier filters)
• Plastic cards
• Ink cartridges
• Chopsticks (wood/bamboo)
• Small alkaline batteries

It’s an easy way to go beyond the basics and make a real impact ♻️

🍂 This Thanksgiving weekend, spend some time outdoors and give back to the environment!

Join us on Saturday, October 10th at 10 a.m. for a meaningful morning of environmental action.

Together, we’ll remove litter and search for microplastics and nurdles — tiny pieces of plastic that can harm wildlife and make their way into our waterways.

Come get outside, make a difference, and help care for the natural spaces we all enjoy!
