September 30 is recognized as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. Brant Community Foundation recognizes and honours First Nations, Inuit, and Métis survivors and victims of the Residential School System. We recognize the impacts of the Residential School system on survivors and their families within our own community and across Canada. A dedicated team of volunteers meets at Harmony United Church Brantford three times a week during the school year to prepare a nutritious and filling meal for elementary school students. Brant Community Foundation proudly supported the purchase of food and supplies for the Breakfast Program, helping ensure an average of 30 children and up to 10 adults served each meal receive the nourishment they need to learn and thrive.

4-H Ontario’s motto is Learn To Do By Doing, which is supported by the many projects and programs available to youth aged 6 to 21 to acquire new skills and prepare to be the leaders of tomorrow. The purchase and retrofit of an enclosed trailer into a multi-function Mobile Learning Resource Trailer supported by the Brant Community Foundation will further enhance learning opportunities as well as facilitate outreach and public awareness activities throughout the region.

Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre designs and delivers educational, recreational and social programs that improve the lives of youth and adults living with varying developmental abilities. With support from the Brant Community Foundation the Centre’s health and wellness programs were enhanced with the addition of new fitness equipment. The equipment has been well utilized, resulting in increased physical activity and self-esteem for the Centre’s members.

Willowbridge Community Services' essential counselling and developmental service programs continue to grow across our community. With support from Brant Community Foundation, Willowbridge has introduced secure, privacy-compliant artificial intelligence technologies to improve service delivery. The ultimate goal of streamlining documentation is to increase service capacity and improve access to mental health care in our community.

The Indigenous Knowledge Centre at Six Nations Polytechnic provides a vital space for preserving and sharing Indigenous knowledge, culture and history. Brant Community Foundation is supporting the Centre’s enhancement plans with funding to improve the display, shelving, and climate-controlled storage of artifacts, documents, and resources. These upgrades will ensure respectful care of materials, empower Indigenous scholars, and strengthen the IKC’s role in sustaining Indigenous knowledge systems for future generations.

The Sanderson Centre is a beloved local entertainment and cultural hub and an architectural gem in the heart of Brantford - largely resulting from the Sanderson Centre Foundation’s efforts to fundraise for capital improvements and their current goal of restoring all public spaces to their historically accurate 1919 era. Brant Community Foundation is supporting those efforts with a grant for the historic restoration of the lower lobby, including reproduction lighting fixtures.
