Final Week to Register for Fall 2026/2027 Competitive Soccer Div 1 & 2

Registration for Aldergrove Youth Soccer Club’s Fall 2026/2027 season is now open at https://www.aldergrovesoccer.com/programs/fall/. OUR DEADLINES FOR REGISTERING U11 to U18 COMPETITIVE TEAMS FOR DIVISION 1 AND 2 ARE VERY TIGHT.

All deadlines 5:00 PM PT.

U11-U18 Competitive Division 1 and 2: Friday, June 19 2026
U11-U18 Competitive Division 3: Friday, July 24 2026

District deadlines are slightly later than above but AYSC requires time to determine what teams we will submit to the District.

If you are interested in playing on a Division 1 or 2 team, you MUST register by Friday, June 19 2026 5:00 PM.

PLEASE REGISTER ASAP.

For 2026/2027, evaluations are not needed. Player placement and rostering is fluid throughout the season - players may be moved across teams / Divisions per game or for the duration of the season based on skill level / performance.

AYSC can only provide a team at any age / Division if a volunteer coach is available for that team. In the absence of having a volunteer step forward, players may be folded to a lower Division where every team will be mixed across ability as evenly as possible. If you have a player wanting to be slotted to a Competitive team, please consider volunteering ASAP!

Reminder – AYSC Spring 2026 Season Windup

This week (week of June 08) will be the final sessions for AYSC’s Spring 2026 season. On Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday (depending on age group / program) sessions will end slightly earlier so that teams can enjoy a slice of Panago pizza and a juice box – great time for a team photo!

Two parents / guardians from each team should come to the tent with a ‘head count’ of your team’s players at about the 35 minute mark of your session (6:20 pm or 7:35 pm). Once your team has their pizza please end your session and enjoy the pizza so that you can clear the park in time for the start of any later sessions.

Reminder: Parents / Guardians Remaining at Field for Duration of Sessions

Reminder – parents / guardians, especially at our younger ages (U4-U8), MUST remain at the field for the duration of any session to assist in supervising your player(s). Canada Soccer’s ideal coach to player ratio at this age is 4:1, but many of the activities with our littlest players sometimes need 1:1 coverage (assisting with tying shoes, wiping noses, taking your own child to the bathroom or dealing with behaviour issues etc. – tasks which are NOT the responsibility of our volunteer coaches).

DO NOT ask your child to walk from the field to the parking lot after their session.

Thank you for your support!

Volunteering for Fall 2026/2027 Soccer

Registration for AYSC's Fall 2026/2027 season will be opening soon. We are looking to confirm ASAP which teams we will be enrolling this season, especially for our U11-U18 Competitive program, and that depends greatly on the volunteer coaches we have.

So that we can recruit both players and coaches accordingly, please let us know if you plan to volunteer as a coach / assistant coach this Fall by completing our volunteer form at https://www.aldergrovesoccer.com/volunteer/.

New this year, parents / guardians who step forward to volunteer as a coach or assistant coach will be offered a $50 registration fee rebate once the season starts in September. Parents / guardians who volunteer with more than one team (age group) will receive a $50 rebate for each team they are assigned to.

All volunteers will be expected to attend a meeting before the season starts, in late August (date / location TBD), and complete some basic volunteer training (mostly online).

Thank you volunteers for your commitment to AYSC, and the kids in this community!

Reminder: Parent / Guardian & Coach Conduct

In accordance with BC Soccer’s Code of Conduct for parents / guardians and coaches, we encourage all AYSC members to act as positive role models – and prioritize the well-being and safety of players above winning.

Please remember that:

these are kids
this is a game
the coaches are volunteers
the referees are human
this is not the World Cup

Parents and spectators are expected to foster a positive, supportive environment by cheering encouragingly and respecting all officials and opponents. Positivity only please – no coaching from the sidelines or negative comments towards referees or players.

Coaches are expected to maintain high standards of behaviour, showing respect for players, parents / guardians, officials, opponents, and the rules of the game.

See https://www.aldergrovesoccer.com/2026/05/08/reminder-parent-guardian-coach-conduct/ for more information.

Thanks for being great soccer fans!
