Looking for some local line dancing? The Urban Cowboy is back at the Acton Legion this Friday, June 19th. After this we break for the summer, so you don't want to miss out on this one!
Doors open at 6:30pm, lessons from 7-9pm, open dancing from 9pm-12am.
$15 at the door. This is a cash-only event, but we do have an ATM on site.

Please check our website and socials in the event of cancellation due to inclement weather. Cruise Nights happen every Monday other than the Civic Holiday and Labour Day until the last Monday in September. See you all there!

Due to the forecasted weather for today (June 14), we have unfortunately made the decision to cancel our washer toss tournament. As a result, the Branch will open at 12pm and people are still welcome to come and enjoy $1 off Caesars all day and watch the Jays.

Crowded Table will be back on the Acton Legion patio on Sunday, June 28. They start playing at 2pm and we will be serving Reuben sandwiches.

We had the pleasure this week of attending two Annual General Reviews, one Tuesday for Air Cadets and one Thursday for Navy League. President Angie Palmer presented FCpl Alexandra Slivans with the cadet medal of excellence on behalf of the branch. Clarke Somerville, Regional Councillor reviewed the troops. Mayor Ann Lawlor, Linc Trevail, 1st VP and Councillor Albano presented awards. On Thursday Sgt at Arms Percy Harding reviewed troops and helped distribute awards to the Navy League. The bell was rung 8 times by a cadet and a moment of silence was held for Stephenie Yates, cadet leader who passed away suddenly. A fitting tribute for her last watch. A celebration of her life will be held in main hall Sunday from 1 to 4. Both leagues marched with precision and did an excellent job. We thank all leaders who work hard with these young people throughout the year. We are proud as a branch to sponsor and support each group. Well done cadets. Enjoy your summer. The Acton Legion is thrilled to host Open Mic Night every Thursday night. The Acton City Limits hosts a drop in for all types of singers and musicians. Join us at the Acton Legion for our next fun washer toss tournament this Sunday (June 14)! (weather permitting)
Registration at 11:00am and we start throwing at 11:30am. $5 for Legion members, $10 for non-members. Teams will be randomly drawn, cash prize for 1st and 2nd place.
Don't play washers? No problem. Join us on the patio for a BBQ, cold beverages, beautiful views and good fun. Hope to see you there!

Note: The date has been changed from what was advertised in the Branch in order to accommodate Decoration Day.
