Underrepresented groups, such as women, Indigenous people and other equity-deserving groups, can take skills development and employment programs in the skilled trades from SkilledTradesBC (STBC).

The organization helps to deliver the programs by partnering with service providers, training providers and Indigenous organizations across the province.

The programs deliver a wide variety of individual and group services and supports: hands-on trades exploration training, pre-apprenticeship entry-level trades technical training, industry recognized certification training, mentorship, job coaching and employment placement services.

🔌Are you interested in a career in the electrical trades?

The Fraser Valley Construction Electrician Foundation Program provides occupational skills training, safety certifications, hands-on practicum experience, and employment support to help participants enter the construction electrical trade.

The program is open to immigrants, youth, Indigenous peoples, women interested in trades and multi-barriered individuals 17 years old or above.

Eligibility:
🔹Receiving EI or Income Assistance
🔹Received EI within the last 5 years or EI eligible
🔹Intermediate English level
