🍂 RAW: Resilient, Aware, Whole was an Erasmus+ youth exchange held in Rettenegg, Austria back in September 2026.

The project brought together 41 young people from five countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Spain, Slovakia, Turkey and North Macedonia. 🇪🇺🌍🇧🇬

The main focus was on mental and emotional well-being, stress management and building resilience. 😌

Through non-formal education, outdoor activities, hiking, mindfulness and interactive workshops, participants learned practical ways to deal with stress and connect better with themselves and others. 🪉

🔦 The project also encouraged intercultural dialogue, teamwork and peer support, creating a safe environment where young people could share experiences, learn from each other and develop personally.

Many lack safe spaces to express their feelings without judgment. This project responds by creating a supportive learning environment where young people can slow down and reconnect with themselves, others, and nature through non-formal learning. 💨

🌳🪲 Nature, movement, and reflection are used as key youth work tools. Hiking becomes a way to develop resilience, awareness, and balance. Through outdoor activities, reflection circles, creative expression, and peer support, participants strengthen self-awareness, emotional literacy, cooperation, and trust while growing at their own pace in a safe and inclusive environment.

🌍 Another Erasmus+ training course brought together youth workers from 8 countries — Spain, Serbia, North Macedonia, Türkiye, Italy, Austria, Romania and Bulgaria — for a week of learning, exchanging ideas and exploring sustainability in Alicante, Spain 🇪🇸

🌱 Youth Workers Mobility for Sustainability, held from 14–21 September 2026, focused on sustainability through non-formal education, international teamwork and active participation.

During the training, participants explored what sustainability actually looks like in their own countries and communities. One of the activities, “Sustainability in Our Countries,” challenged the national teams to present their local environmental reality, cultural perspective and examples of green initiatives — creating a space to compare not only problems, but also different approaches and possible solutions.

♻️ Through workshops, discussions and practical group activities, participants worked with topics such as responsible choices, environmental awareness, sustainable habits and the role young people can play in creating change. The learning process was based on non-formal education — learning by doing, discussing, reflecting and sharing experiences with each other.

🤝 But sustainability was only one part of the learning. Working in an international environment also meant navigating different communication styles, ideas and ways of approaching the same problem. Participants practised teamwork, active listening, intercultural communication and turning different perspectives into shared solutions.

💡 The project was also a reminder that sustainability does not always start with a huge initiative. Sometimes it starts with becoming more aware of the choices we already make — and then taking those ideas back to our own communities.

🌿 Different countries, different realities, shared responsibility. Small actions can become meaningful change when people start learning and acting together.

Between 21–29 September 2026, youth workers and leaders from 6 countries participated in the training course "Digital Health" in Milkow, Poland. 🇵🇱

💡 The participants learned how to help young people live healthier lives in today’s digital world. Moreover, tge activities included discussions on physical health, nutrition, mental health, and the smart use of screen time. Participants learned how to build good daily habits, stay motivated, and cook healthy meals and motivate other young people to follow the example.

📖 The methods used included plenty of debates, brainstorming sessions, and workshops on how to use Canva tools that will be applied in the daily life and work of the participants.

🌿 Day 6 of The Sound of Nature — from participants to facilitators 🌿

Day 6 was all about putting learning into practice.

After spending the week exploring different nature-based, embodied, creative and mindfulness methods, our youth workers had the opportunity to create something of their own. 💚

Working in small groups, they designed short micro-workshops inspired by the methods they had experienced during the training.

Then came the most important part — trying them out! 🌱

Each group facilitated their workshop for the others, experimenting with different approaches, responding to the group and learning through the experience itself. Along the way, they received feedback and reflected on facilitation, group dynamics and how the methods could be transferred into their own youth work.

It was a great reminder that learning doesn't stop when we understand a method — it becomes meaningful when we can use it, share it and adapt it.

From learning to facilitating.
From experiencing to teaching.
From participants to facilitators. ✨

Reconnect. Breathe. Listen. Transform. 🌿

🌿 Day 4 of The Sound of Nature — sound, movement and the power of play 🌿

Day 4 was full of energy, creativity and experimentation. 🎶🌱

We explored sound and music as tools for expression and group connection through rhythm, voice and body percussion. Without the pressure to perform, participants discovered how music can build confidence, inclusion and collective energy.

Then we brought sound into nature.

Using stones, leaves, wood and water, participants created their own natural soundscapes, discovering how simple materials can become creative tools for youth work. 🍃💧

After lunch, we moved into play and movement. Through playfight-inspired exercises, our youth workers explored trust, cooperation, physical expression and creativity, while also focusing on boundaries, consent and mutual respect. 🤝

Sometimes we learn through rhythm.
Sometimes through movement.
Sometimes through play.
And sometimes simply by listening.

Our participants are not only experiencing these methods — they are learning how to adapt them and bring them into their own work with young people. 💚

Reconnect. Breathe. Listen. Transform. 🌿

🌿 Day 5 of The Sound of Nature — slowing down and immersing ourselves in nature 🌿

For Day 5, we left our usual training space and spent the day in Mežaparks, using the outdoors as our learning environment. 🍃

The morning began with guided nature immersion and Forest Bathing practices — slow walking, sensory activities and mindful observation. Instead of rushing through nature, we practised being fully present in it and noticing what is often missed when we move too quickly. 🌲

We also enjoyed an outdoor mindful lunch, taking time to slow down and simply be present with our food and surroundings. 🥗☀️

In the afternoon, participants had more freedom to explore nature in their own way. Walking, resting, journaling, observing, creating or simply sitting quietly — everyone could choose what they needed in that moment.

It was also a chance to reflect on the methods we have been learning throughout the week and how they can be adapted for different groups and outdoor settings in youth work.

A day to slow down.
To listen.
To notice.
And to reconnect. 💚

Reconnect. Breathe. Listen. Transform. 🌿

🌿 A few days ago was the first day of The Sound of Nature! 🌿

The first day was not about rushing into the programme — it was about meeting the people behind the names, getting comfortable with each other and creating the foundations for the week ahead. 💚

With participants coming from 8 different countries, we started by sharing who we are, where we come from, what brought us here and what we hope to take from this experience.

Through movement, yoga, breathing exercises, time in nature and simple moments of conversation, we slowly started building connections and discovering what we have in common. 🌱

And sometimes, the smallest moments create the strongest beginning:

☀️ “Breathing on the grass with the sun on my face.”
🔥 “Feeling the fire in my chest again.”
🤝 “Creation of a link between the people.”
🌿 “Feeling peaceful around nature.”
💚 “Reconnecting with my body, feeling it fully.”
🌍 “Finding positivity in exchanging culture.”

Different backgrounds, different stories, different perspectives — but already a lot of common ground.

This is where the group journey begins. 🌿
