“Youths for the Balkans” is a Non-Governmental organization, founded in Sofia in 2008 by a team of proactive and young people dedicated to the idea to help and interact with the civil society. Our main purpose is to promote the proactive way of life through various youth mobility and volunteer programs. Another important aim of our organization is to advance intercultural understanding, mutual res
pect, and social responsibility through exchanges for youth.
• History - Eastern Europe and especially the Balkans are populated with the most various and different cultures, which could provide a broad spectrum of actions, youth activities and involvement initiatives. “Youths for the Balkans” was created due to the constant pressure and changes in the region of the Balkans and Eastern Europe, as well as the purpose for the creation of a better civil society and social environment. Activities as culture and history understanding, exchange and training courses are key areas of “Youths for the Balkans”, which will bring young people from the Balkans and Europe together, by organizing local educational seminars and multimedia production.
