The “Youth Forum 21st century” (YF 21) is a youth non-government organization, established on 1 November 1999 from a group of young people supported by the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB). СНЦ „Младежки форум 21 век” е младежка неправителствена организация, учредена на 1 ноември 1999 г. по инициатива на група млади хора и с подкрепата на КНСБ (най-голямата обществена
организация в България). Сдружението е член на младежките комитети на Европейската конфедерация на профсъюзите (ETUC), Международната конфедерация на профсъюзите (ITUC) и Паневропейския регионален съвет (PERC), както и на Национален младежки форум.
СНЦ „МФ 21 век” има изградена мрежа от 27 регионални и 10 секторни младежки координатори, които имат за задача да реализират дейността на сдружението на регионално и секторни ниво.
Основните приоритети в дейността на сдружението са:
Изграждане на информирана и образована младеж, съпричастна към проблемите на съвременния обществено-политически, синдикален и културен живот и мотивирана активно да участва в процеса на развитие на гражданското общество;
Осигуряване на условия и възможности за развитие и по-добра социална и трудово реализация на младите хора в България;
Развиване на инициативи, насочени към спазването на основните човешки и граждански права, както и към борба срещу асоциалните явления в обществото;
Провеждане на активен и ефективен структурен диалог в сферата на младежката политика;
Подпомагане на диалога и взаимодействието между младите хора в България и страните от ЕС и света като цяло.
Приоритетни теми, по които сдружението работи са: основни човешки и граждански права; образование, професионално образование и обучение; професионално ориентиране; младежка заетост, предприемачество; активно участие на младите хора в обществения живот на страната; миграция; здравеопазване; борба с бедността и асоциалните явления в обществото; популяризиране и развитие на доброволчеството; култура, спорт и екология; устойчиво развитие.

The “Youth Forum 21st century” (YF 21) is a youth non-government organization, established on 1 November 1999 from a group of young people supported by the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB). The aims of the “YF 21” are:
•to promote specific personal interests and needs of the young people in the field of education, information technologies, culture, sport, and to implement concrete projects to satisfy them;
•to promote CITUB policy and activities among young people through organising different youth projects and information campaigns at national, regional, branch and enterprise level;
•to help the process of formation and implementation of social and professional realization strategies;
•to organise training courses, conferences, seminars, round tables and discussions on important for young people topics, where youth employment and education are among the most sensible ones.
•to encourage young people through concrete modes and mechanisms to take part in the government of the country (at state or regional level) and/or the control of the citizens over the government;
•to develop concrete initiatives to represent young people’s attitude to the respect of human and civil rights and the negative social phenomena (corruption, drugs, crimes etc.);
•to build up a network of young trade unionists, as well as to prepare and build up future young trade union leaders;
•to establish and to develop the resource capacity of the “YF 21”, etc. The main priority areas in the action plan of “YF 21” for the period 2011 – 2013 are in the field of:
•fundamental human and civil rights;
•education, vocational education and training, professional and career orientation;
•youth employment, internship and entrepreneurship;
•health and physical activity;
•gender equality and migration;
•demographic policy and social inclusion;
•promotion and development of volunteering among young people;
•sustainable development;
•culture, sport and ecology. The “Youth forum 21st century” has a network of 28 regional and 10 sectoral youth coordinators, who realizing the youth policy of CITUB at regional and sectoral level. The membership in the “Youth Forum 21st century” is voluntary for young people from 18 to 35 years old. The supreme body of the “YF 21” is the General Assembly, which meets at least once every year and elects the members of the Board of Managers (consists of President, 2 Vice-presidents and 4 members) with two years mandate. YF 21 is a full-right member of the National Youth Forum in Bulgaria and also a member of the Youth Committees of European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and Pan-European Regional Council (ITUC – PERC).
