Le Président de la République, Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, a reçu ce 24 juin 2026 le secrétaire général de l’Organisation des États d’Afrique, des Caraïbes et du Pacifique ( ), le Tchadien Moussa Saleh Batraki. Les échanges ont porté sur les réformes engagées au sein de l’organisation, les perspectives de coopération avec le Tchad ainsi que le placement des cadres tchadiens dans cette institution internationale. 🇹🇩

🌐The OACPS Committee of Ambassadors today commenced its annual visit to the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg 🇱🇺 under the theme “Strengthening the Partnership.”

The OACPS Secretary-General H.E. Moussa Saleh Batraki was represented by Mrs. Susan Branker-Greene Assistant Secretary-General for the Department of Policies and Programs.

The sessions featured exchanges between EIB Global Director General Andrew McDowell, Chair of the OACPS Committee of Ambassadors H.E. Pa Musa Jobarteh, the Assistant Secretary-General Mrs. Susan Branker-Greene, Mrs. Katalaina Sapolu, Assistant Secretary-General for Global Operations, and Ms. Thouraya Triki, EIB Director for International Partnerships.

Discussions focused on strategic priorities, development financing, regional cooperation and the impact of EIB-supported initiatives across Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific. 🌍🇱🇺

📍 Brussels | Committee of Ambassadors Meets In Person

🌐 The Ambassadors of the OACPS Member States met today in person at the Organisation’s headquarters in Brussels, under the chairmanship of H.E. Mr. Pa Musa JOBARTEH, Ambassador of The Gambia and Chair of the Committee of Ambassadors, alongside the OACPS Secretary-General, H.E. Moussa Saleh Batraki.

This meeting marks an important step in OACPS institutional strengthening and reflects the continued commitment of its Member States to dialogue, consultation, and collective action.

During the session, the Committee examined several strategic issues, including recent international developments, particularly the European Union Pact on Migration and Asylum, the economic situation in Cuba where member states expressed their solidarity, the Organization’s Endowment and Trust Fund, the revision of the scale of contributions in preparations for the upcoming Council of Ministers, as well as the follow-up to the decisions of the 11th Summit of Heads of State and Government held in Malabo.

In an international context marked by numerous challenges, the in-person meetings sends a strong message: that of an OACPS that is more engaged, closer to its Member States, and firmly focused on the future.
