For those that don’t know, Yea Cruise Night is a Yea Community House event and we simply couldn’t exist without them.

YCH which is one of many, many community and neighbourhood houses providing vital support services across Victoria. Over the past 10 years, neighbourhood house funding has decreased by 20% in real terms.
Neighbourhood Houses across Victoria are already reducing staff, cutting hours and scaling back programs — right now, when community need is growing.

They’re asking the state government to support a 25% increase to the Neighbourhood House Coordination Program, and we need our community to help - to call the Treasurer and a handful of key-decision makers this week to make sure we can keep the doors open.

Neighbourhood Houses Victoria has provided scripts and additional points of reference to make it as easy as possible. For phone numbers to call, head on over to the YCH page. Help keep the Yea Community House doors open!

Thanks Yea Community House for everything you do for our event. We appreciate everything you do for us ❤️

Thanks Yea Community House for everything you do for our event. We appreciate everything you do for us ❤️

A special thank you to all the volunteers who support the Yea Cruise Night season each year.

For six months of the year, so many people give their time and energy to make these events happen, whether taking photographs, managing social media, completing paperwork, ordering merchandise, directing traffic, speaking on the PA system, selling merch, or filling countless other important roles behind the scenes.

Every contribution helps each Cruise Night run smoothly and safely, and brings the community together month after month. Your dedication and teamwork are truly appreciated, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do. 💛

From Yea Community House….

“Today we’re sharing a special moment from the Parliamentary Inquiry session held in Alexandra.

This photo captures our own Cass (on the left), who many of you will know as our former President and now a valued general committee member. Today she spoke at the open mic session for the inquiry into the 2026 bushfires, giving Yea Community House a voice in an important public forum.

In the early days of the fires, and throughout recovery, Yea Community House and the surrounding community halls stepped up in ways only local, grassroots organisations can. Each community faced its own challenges and responded in their own way, yet together there was a shared sense of care and willingness to support each other wherever it was needed most. It was something truly special to witness.
For Yea Community House this didn’t happen by chance. It’s thanks to years of quiet, steady work behind the scenes, through planning, preparing, writing grants, building programs, and making sure we’re ready when our community needs us most.

Cass has been at the heart of that work for more than five years.

From emergency relief and preparedness to long-term recovery planning, her leadership has helped shape Yea Community House into what it is today; ready to act, ready to support, and deeply connected to our community.

Today, Cass shared our story, and shared it so well.”

Thank you, Cass, for everything you’ve given (and continue to give) to our community. We’re incredibly grateful.

From us at Yea Cruise Night…

Thank you to Cass for your commitment and voice today and Yea Community House for your unwavering support of our community in good times and bad.

YCN is proud to be affiliated with YCH and being a part of this community involves far more than seeing a few nice cars in town on a Saturday night.

The connections and friendships we have made through our affiliation continue to grow and the local response to events like the January fires really reiterate what a wonderful community we are part of.

..for your contributions that fill these bags every month.

◾️Name of owner, where do you live?
Danni Schneider, Mansfield.

◾️Car make and model.
Ford XM Coupe 1964.

◾️When did you get the car/how long have you had it?
I bought the car before I got my drivers licence in 1990.

◾️Why do you love your car?
I love her curves and love her character and quirks. I love that she was my first vehicle & I still own her.

◾️Does the car have a name and why? Her name is Jezebel after a Maxi Priest song “Close to You”

◾️What restoration/modifications have been performed on the car?
When I got the car from Bell Post Hill near Geelong in 1989 she was finished in an air dry enamel in Diamond White.
I had the engine reconditioned in 1990, a stainless steel exhaust system fitted and had the body cut back to bare metal,
lead filled & resprayed in a Pearl White called Cardinia White & then had the steering wheel pearled.
The final addition to finish her off was my FORD64 plates that I found a guy selling in the Trading Post.

◾️How often do you drive your car?
She was initially my everyday drive but over the past 20 or so years I have only driven her a few times a year.
Recently my passion has been reignited so I have joined a local Car Club and intend to take her out much more often.

◾️Have you always been into cars, and if so what other cars have you had?
My father has always been interested in cars & I also had friends in Geelong that were Ford Factory workers and car fanatics. I didn’t really have a hope to not be caught up in classic cars. I then sold New Holden’s/Suzuki’s/Peugeot’s in Cheltenham Melbourne for 15 years so my everyday drivers became Holdens with everything from convertibles to utes giving me an appreciation for both the old & the new.

◾️What was your first car?
Jezabelle

◾️ Why do you like Yea Cruise Night? Ladies Night 2026 was my first cruise night & it was a great relaxed atmosphere with like minded enthusiasts.
