World Environment Day 2026 takes place on Friday, June 5, 2026, with the Republic of Azerbaijan serving as the official global host. Neighbourhood Houses Victoria proposed a partnership for the Registration Rebate, which would have funded our work in helping community access the rebate.
They rejected the proposal, and told us there was no funding available to assist community members who face challenges with digital literacy, digital access, language barriers and more. They are expected to apply via the website or app, or miss out on the rebate.
We think that is incredibly unfair and a poor effort from the State Government, with horrible outcomes for both our most vulnerable community members and our already underfunded Neighbourhood Houses.

🚗 Have you claimed your 20% Vehicle Registration Rebate yet?

Eligible Victorians can apply for the Registration Rebate through the Service Victoria website or app. The application only takes a few minutes to complete.

To apply, you'll need:
• Your Services Australia login details
• Your vehicle registration number
• Your driver's licence details
• Your bank account details

Please note that Neighbourhood Houses are not funded to provide assistance with Registration Rebate applications.

Neighbourhood Houses Victoria proposed a partnership to support community members with the Registration Rebate process, particularly those who may face challenges with digital literacy, digital access, language barriers and other obstacles. However, the Victorian Government advised that there is no funding available for this support.
