YEA GARDEN EXPO September 24th & 25th 2016

A quick review note regarding the Expo. We thought the Expo was terrific and the countless compliments we have received regarding the quality of the vendors, your preparations and displays is an enormous plaudit for you all and made the EXPO what it became…..a success. The speaker program was well attended and again you should be proud of your contributi

on to the weekend. The feedback we are getting from the paying public has been overwhelmingly complimentary and it appears providing free parking , free face painting and free pony rides was a real drawcard for families. For your information the number of paying public attendees was just over 1500 which was terrific and clearly our extensive marketing program worked albiet there are a few more ideas to be added to next marketing program. This high level of attendance from many who travelled significant distances from Melbourne and beyond and from northern Victoria indicates there is now no doubt an expo of this nature has a real role to play for gardeners and vendors and as several pointed out to us at the weekend this could quickly become the major gardening expo north of Melbourne. Get your tickets to see these amazing, beautiful gardens

The Clubs next big event is the annual Open Garden weekend on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th November. The now six gardens (3 town and 3 country are being made ready by their owners. Details of individual gardens are available on club's website at www.yearotary.org.au and weekend passes are available from TryBooking. Please note that the Yea Hospital is a coin donation and not included in the weekend pass.

Someone who purchased some Garden Art/sculpture at the Garden Expo on Saturday 20th, left it behind in the plant creche.
If you private message us with a description of the artwork, we can try and arrange for it to be collected.

Day One of our Garden Expo is done and dusted and it is off to a great start. Lots of people through the gate and some happy vendors, with lots of stock still available for sale tomorrow. Thanks to Sedona Winery for the wine for our vendors happy hour. Gates open 9am tomorrow until 3pm so come join us at the Yea Saleyards. You just might find a bargain!!
