Our Kids Day Out is almost here, and we still need some wonderful community members to lend a hand and help make this event something special! πŸŽ‰

Whether you can spare an hour, a couple of hours, or help with a full shift, every extra pair of hands makes a HUGE difference. From setting up, selling wristbands and helping in the canteen, through to packing everything away at the end of the night β€” there are plenty of ways you can help.

Withcott Scout Group is on the hunt for some CLEAN FILL to help us tidy up and improve the area in front of our Scout Den.

Maybe you’re doing some earthworks, landscaping or construction and have clean fill that needs a new home? Even better, perhaps you have the equipment to deliver and spread it for us! πŸ™

We’d love to put it to good use improving our grounds and creating a better space for our youth.

Tonight is all about RADIOS, COMMUNICATION & CONNECTION as we work alongside the Darling Downs Radio Club to learn some fantastic new skills and discover how radio waves can connect people across the world! πŸŒπŸ“‘

JOEYS & CUBS will be putting their communication skills to the test! They’ll be:
πŸ” Deciphering secret codes
〰️ Learning Morse code β€” and practising the patience needed to master it!
🌏 Trying to make radio contact with people from the other side of the world
πŸ“» Completing challenges around the Den using their very own radios

SCOUTS will be working with Kaa to build their very own Survival/Emergency Kits, thinking about what they might need when things don’t quite go to plan. They’ll then extend their radio knowledge and communication skills as they prepare for JOTA/JOTI.
