Toowoomba Choral Society Youth Choir is thrilled to officially announce the incredible cast of our 2026 production of Beauty and the Beast! 💜

The team is beyond excited to work with this talented group of young performers and watch as they bring to life this magical tale full of love, transformation and adventure 📚

🎭✨ Musical Announcement: A Tale Begins! ✨🎭

The Toowoomba Choral Society Youth Productions is delighted to unveil the first chapter of our 2026 musical journey… and it begins with a roar of excitement and a sprinkle of enchantment.

🌹 Introducing Hayley Gervais as our newly appointed Director for Beauty and the Beast 2026!

Originally from the magical forests of Vancouver, Canada, and now firmly rooted in Brisbane’s vibrant arts scene, Hayley brings over a decade of theatrical brilliance to our stage. Her creative fingerprints can be found across South East Queensland, with directing and producing credits that span beloved titles like If/Then, Ride the Cyclone, Falsettos, Urinetown, Legally Blonde, and The Wedding Singer. And yes - she’s no stranger to our enchanted castle, having previously served as Assistant Director for Beauty and the Beast in 2021.

🎬 Hayley currently serves as President and Artistic Director of Phoenix Ensemble in Beenleigh, where her leadership continues to inspire and elevate performers of all ages. Her passion for nurturing young talent and creating inclusive, high impact productions makes her the perfect guide for this “tale as old as time.”

🌟 Hayley shares:

“I’m absolutely thrilled to begin my first adventure with Toowoomba Choral Society Youth Productions. I can’t wait to work alongside this incredible community to bring Beauty and the Beast to life - with heart, magic, and a whole lot of joy.”
