Reminder about upcoming opportunities to join in local bushcare sessions with the Darangarra Corridors Bushcare Group.

2nd Saturday morning each month at Third Settlement Reserve (corner of Oakes Road & Edison Parade, Old Toongabbie). Next session is Saturday 21 Feb.

3rd Sunday morning each month at Gallery Gardens (behind the tennis courts on Fitzwilliam Road, Old Toongabbie). Next session is Sunday 22 Feb.

Not so fun fact - According to City of Parramatta, Fitzwilliam Road, Old Toongabbie is a busy regional road carrying an average of 18,000 vehicles per day.

Please join us in caring for our local bushcare sites which are greatly needed as habitat for birds & wildlife, and also to provide easy access to calming green spaces for community members.

Thank you to all our wonderful volunteer bushcarers who helped w**d, water, plant and spread mulch throughout 2025. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2026. New volunteers are also welcome to join us!

Photos taken this week show the fallen tree at Reynolds Park has been cleared from the walking track. Also signs of fire activity nearby and the new toilet amenities are now open

Busy morning of bushcare today which included spreading mulch, relocating branch that had fallen on young acacias and small section of the Settlers Walk track and hand w**ding (mostly removing Mother of Millions which is an ongoing problem at this site). We also had a site visit from Billy, one of the Parramatta Council bushcare team who support our bushcare
