About 500 people have turned out to protest against the state government's controversial emergency services and volunteers fund.

Protesters say the increased levy will unfairly tax CFA volunteers and financially hurt farmers and business owners in the country.

Dozens of our members were there alongside thousands of other Victorians. So many trucks and serving CFA volunteers flying the flag for protecting our most important resource, our people and our farms and towns.
