🍽️ WE'RE BACK! 🍽️

After a couple of weeks out of the kitchen and a few tweaks to our menu, we're ready to fire things back up this week!

You'll still find plenty of your regular favourites, but we'll be mixing up our specials from time to time to keep things interesting and give you something new to try.
Meal prices shown are member/non-members.
Not a member yet? If you're currently serving, membership is free!
Defence veterans, emergency services workers/volunteers, and direct family members of those who have served or are currently serving are also welcome to join.

Doors open from 5pm, so why not come down and enjoy:

It's a long weekend thanks to the kings birthday!
So that means our kitchen helpers are having a well earned break from cooking delcious food for everyone!

Matt McLaughlin, President of the Seymour RSL, wrote to me this week about the Albanese Labor Government's $5,000 annual cap on allied health care for veterans.

Veterans should not face financial limits on care for injuries sustained in service.

I am calling on the government to reconsider.

As a follow-on from our post yesterday, here are some photos from HickMunter Photography.
If you were at the Morning Service, you probably spotted him quietly lurking through the crowd, capturing some absolutely cracking shots.

All the photos we’ve shared really capture just how special the day was. The spirit, the respect, and the strong sense of community.
We’re grateful to be able to share a selection of both his work and the photos we shared yesterday with you, which truly showcases the pride, reflection, and togetherness that made the day so meaningful.

As the dust settles on another Anzac Day, our committee would like to extend some heartfelt thanks.
It was truly moving to look around at the Dawn Service, the Morning Service, and back at the Sub-Branch afterwards and see so many young kids, families and even newborns taking part. The interactions between veterans of all services throughout the day were something special to witness.

Each committee member received overwhelming praise and kind words from members of the public — and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect!

A big thank you to Paul, John and their dedicated crew from the The Royal Hotel - Seymour for catering both breakfast and lunch, supported by a small but mighty team of Sub-Branch volunteers. Both meals were absolutely delicious.
Thank you to Trent Jansz for the outstanding live music that set the tone for the day.
To our local emergency services, SES Seymour Unit and Seymour Fire Brigade — as always, your support and presence are deeply appreciated.

To the VicPol members who adjusted their shifts and gave up their time to ensure our marches could take place safely on local roads — thank you.

To Mitchell Shire Council and the Seymour Health parks and gardens teams — thank you for making both memorials look tidy and presentable for the day.

A special thanks as well to Weekend Frames Photography for capturing and sharing some incredible photos from the Morning Service — we’ve shared a selection on our page.

And finally, to our community and to those who travelled to join us for this year’s commemorations. Thank you for turning out in such big numbers to support such an important day for our nation. As a small RSL Sub-Branch with a small committee, we put a lot into Anzac Day each year, and we’re proud to continue punching above our weight.
