Books For Fiji was founded mid 2015 after visiting Taveuni, an Island in the greater Fijian waterway. The children of Taveuni are happy, loving, caring individuals whom want for nothing in life. After our initial visit to Taveuni, the idea was born to provide these wonderful children quality used literature to aid the nurturing and expanding of their young fruitful minds. rom school libraries across the greater Sydney region; this allows us to regulate quality and appropriateness of all donations. So far we'd like to give a HUGE thanks to:

Aswell as many generous private donations too! The generosity these schools & libraries have shown is unbelievable and evident through the quantity and beautiful quality of the used books that have been donated! Most books we collect are accessioned using the dewey decimal system, we organise them into Kindergarten, Primary, Secondary and categorise them under their appropriate genres of Science, Maths, Art, fiction, non-fiction etc. It is after this point of the process that the books are ready to be boxed, labelled and shipped from Botany Bay to Suva, where they will then go onto find their new homes in the libraries of schools in the greater Taveuni community.
