💙 IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT DONATIONS 💙

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our community, but we need to address an ongoing issue.

Effective immediately and until further notice, It’ll Take A Tribe will ONLY accept BRAND-NEW donations unless we have specifically requested secondhand items.

Recently, we have received far too many stained, damaged, dirty and unusable items. Our volunteers are spending valuable time sorting through these donations and making trips to the dump.

And here’s the frustrating part — EVERY TRIP TO THE DUMP COSTS OUR CHARITY MONEY!

We operate on very limited funds. Every dollar spent disposing of unwanted rubbish is money that could have gone towards feeding families, providing baby essentials or celebrating a child’s birthday.

We simply don’t have the space, time or resources to continue doing this.

But more importantly…

Just because someone is struggling DOES NOT mean they should have to accept rubbish!

Before donating to ANY charity, ask yourself:

❤️ If I were escaping domestic violence, experiencing homelessness or struggling to provide for my children, would I be happy to receive this?

If the answer is no, please don’t donate it.

Poverty does not remove someone’s dignity. Hardship does not mean people deserve anything less than respect.

To everyone who donates thoughtfully and generously, THANK YOU. You make our work possible. 💙

🚨 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE: NEW DONATIONS ONLY, UNLESS SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED.

Giving to charity should be about helping someone, not simply getting rid of something.

It’ll Take A Tribe 💙

*A Memorial for 10,000 Souls: Canberra, November 19th.* 🪽💙🪽

On International Men’s Day, the lawns of Parliament House will be transformed into a visual memorial. We are laying down one shoe for every man and boy lost to su***de in 2025—a quiet, powerful representation of the fathers, sons, and brothers who are no longer with us.

As we stand among these 2,500 shoes, we mark a heartbreaking milestone: *10,000 male lives lost in just 4 years.*

This memorial is our most important call for change. We are calling for a *Federal Minister for Men and Boys Health and Welfare* to finally address the situational distress that leads to this national emergency. After 50 years of a Minister for Women, our men and boys deserve a dedicated voice at the federal level to ensure their lives are a priority.

*HOW YOU CAN HONOR THEM:*
✅ *Attend:* Join us in Canberra on November 19th to stand with these families.
✅ *Act:* Email your representatives today. Ask them to attend the memorial, tie a ribbon, and show they are listening to the families of these 10,000 men.
✅ *Be a Voice:* Share this post so these souls are never forgotten.

This is a day for remembrance, and a day to ensure "Our Men Matter" is heard in the halls of power.
