Sunbury Rovers Unit is located in Melbourne's Western suburbs. Rover Scouts are aged between 18 and 26, we are always welcoming new and linking members!

Last week's Rovers catch-up was a lot of fun, we had a fancy dress night at McDonald's Keilor Park, spent the evening chatting and laughing in the party room, and finished with ice cream cake supplied by the restaurant. Thanks to everyone who made it such a fun evening! 😁

Last Friday we held our AGM, where we looked back on everything we've achieved over the past year, heard reports from all of our role holders, and elected our new Unit Executive and support roles for the year ahead. 🙌

On Friday night the sunbury rovers had a character casino night. Each member had to come dress up and act as a character of their choice. The rovers were amazing at getting into character and playing some cards.

We also attended Melbourne Gangshow rover night to support 3 of our members who performed on stage.

From ses nights to long weekend camping. The rovers have been busy, at ses we did some mock first aid and rescue as well as diverting water. Over the long weekend we had a lovely relaxing time with camp fires, low ropes, initiative courses and lots of laughs. SES Sunbury Unit

Last night we had the privilege to invest 4 new members into the crew. We officially welcome Michaela, Kyeisha, Cienna and Cam. All four bring great enthusiasm and excitement to the crew. Keep an eye out for the amazing things these girls do.

Over last weekend we had Top Gun: Lord of the rings, where the rovers ran a tug of war stunt for the district scouts.

Then on Friday night we did a local walk to pick up rubbish for Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday with all sections from both 1st and 3rd Sunbury groups. Followed by an introduction to rover nights to earn the badge together.

Over this Anzac Weekend the Sunbury Rovers were very busy. We participated in the Sunbury youth vigil, dawn service, march and we also ran a BBQ for the local community after the march and mid day service.

On Sunday the rovers had a working bee at the hall, we did a general clean of all the spaces, reorganised our den and cleaned up the front. We can’t wait to have a lovely fire next Friday with all the fallen down trees scraps.

On Friday night we had a drag race night, we put our makeup skills to the test and tried our best to put on a show. We had loads of fun and had lots of laughs.

On Friday we had a team building night where we worked with people we usually wouldn’t and got to know each other more.
