Altered hours this Thursday 4th June! 🕤

Due to volunteer availability this week, our usual Thursday opening session will run a little earlier - from 9.30 - 10.30am.

Next week's Thursday opening will be at the usual time of 10.30 - 11.30am.

This week we are also open tomorrow Monday 1st June from 11.30 - 12.30pm.

And next Sunday 7th June 10 - 11.30am

This week is National Volunteer Week, and we want to say a massive thank you to the people who make our toy library what it is today! 💜

We are 100% volunteer run. From cataloging toys to running borrowing sessions, to writing policies and writing social media posts, and everything in between — our vollies literally do it all.

This year alone we have run more than 30 opening sessions, started weekly Stay & Play sessions (Sundays), and made it possible for over 60 local families to collectively borrow over 830 toys!

So a big shout to everyone who has helped — every little bit counts, and we simply couldn’t do it without you.

We're looking for extra hands on a Thursday morning! Can you help?

Sunbury Toy Library is open Thursday mornings 10.30 - 11.30am, and our regular volunteer could do with an extra assistant.

Come in, enjoy some company, and help members select, borrow and return toys.

If you can help out, be it weekly, fortnightly, or on an ad hoc basis - please let us know!

Term 2 borrowing sessions at Sunbury Toy Library!

We will be open:

Every second Monday 11.30 - 12.30pm
(Starting from Monday 4th May)

Thursdays 10.30 - 11.30am

AND

Sundays 10 - 11.30am
Then Stay & Play from 10.30 - 11.30am

Have you ever noticed your child playing with a toy in a certain way, and automatically 'corrected' them?

If you have, you wouldn't be alone!

Next time you notice it though, try sitting back and watching them. They may not be wearing lab coats, but you can bet that their little grey cells are working hard at some theory or experiment 🧠🤯🧒

There is no right way to play, and that's what makes it powerful! 💥

Play is how kids explore, experiment and figure out the world around them. It might look messy, noisy, or completely unexpected... and that's exactly the point. Whether it's a toy from the toy library or something from the bottom of the kitchen draw, it all counts.

So today, let them lead. Follow their ideas, make a little space, and watch the magic unfold!
